Crafted Spaces Kids Maker’s Club
This is a kids after-school program for ages 11 to 17. We explore fun sewing, textile art, and crafting projects. Small group sessions are hosted at our location in Oro-Medonte.
Registration for our 2026 after-school program is open!
Over the years, our after-school program has changed to meet the needs and interests of our students. This fall, we have posted several dates for you to choose from. We hope that these multiple dates will provide some flexibility for those with challenging schedules.
The sessions are stand-alone sessions; however, the project created in one session may be incorporated into a subsequent session. Each session will build on different textile art and sewing techniques. If for example, a piece of fabric was hand painted or block printed in one session, it may become the material used to sew a small project in another session. The goal is to teach different skills and techniques and demonstrate how they work together.
*This after-school program is open to children from ages 11 to 17 . Please note that we do not have adequate space to effectively separate students into age groups.

Sewing
Learn how to sew fun, beginner friendly projects. Projects will vary and may include a tote bag, envelope pillow, or pencil case. Learn about sewing patterns and build hand and machine sewing skills. Materials and artwork created from other sessions are incorporated. No prior sewing experience is required.
Textile Art
This activity will introduce kids to different textile art techniques and bring their creativity to life. Some drawing and playing with different materials is involved. Activities may include textile dyeing, fabric painting, block printing, and screen printing. Kids can then turn their original pieces into sewing or craft projects.
Crafts
We explore fun-filled creative activities using paper, yarn, felt, clay, and other assorted craft supplies. With a focus on eco-friendly materials, the possibilities are endless.
What will be provided . . .
Registration fees include instruction, in-studio use of tools and equipment (including sewing machines), and the materials needed for the activities and projects.
Other Concerns
We want to ensure that each child has a positive experience. We ask that prior to registering, parents inform us of any concerns they may have regarding their child’s participation in the activities.
Payment Information
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration. Payment in full is due prior to session(s). You are welcome to select sessions as you go. Please check your dates prior to registering. There will be no refunds or credits offered if you cancel. A no-show is considered a cancellation. There are no make-up classes available. Please note that space is limited and each session is set to a maximum of six children. Sessions are subject to cancellation if registration minimum is not met.
A group discount is available if you are registering 3+ children or if you are part of a group with 3+ children. Members of a group can register individually; however, you must contact us for more information regarding your group.
Credit card and PayPal payments can be made at check-out. Canadian e-transfer payments are also accepted and should be sent to create@craftedspaces.com. Contact us for other payment options.
