Crafted Spaces Kids Creative Summer Camp 2021
Crafted Spaces has been hosting a kids creative camp for nine years. This year our camp will run online during the month of July.
Crafted Spaces Kids Creative Summer Camp, offers virtual sewing and craft camps for children ages 6 to 17 years old. This year all of our camp activities will be held online via Zoom. Click the links below for a description of each camp and view our dates and rates. Register for a camp by completing our online registration. Carefully read and review the description for each session before registering. All supplies are included and will be shipped prior to camp start dates. Local curb side pick-up is also available to collect camp kits.
A group discount is available if you are registering 3+ children or if you are part of a wider group with 3+ children. Members of a group can register individually; however, you must contact us for more information regarding your group.
Credit card and PayPal payments can be made at check-out. E-transfer payments are also accepted and should be sent to email@example.com. Contact us for other payment options. Campers will learn how to sew several fun, kid friendly beginner sewing projects throughout the week. Projects will vary and may include designing and sewing a tote bag, envelope pillow, donut pillow, and soft toy. Kids will learn about commercial sewing patterns and build hand and machine sewing skills. Campers will also explore the basics of hand embroidery and learn different ways of embellishing their projects. No prior sewing experience is required. This camp is intended for kids ages 6 – 17.
Advanced Sewing + Fashion
Campers will learn how to use a commercial sewing pattern, make basic pattern adjustments and learn various sewing and textile art skills. Campers will expand their sewing skills and will learn how to work with different fabrics and embellishments. Projects will vary based on age group. Each day we will focus on developing a different skill. Prior sewing experience is recommended. This camp is intended for kids ages 9 – 13 and 14 – 17.
This is a fun filled week focused on arts and crafts. Campers will make fun craft projects using paper, yarn, felt, clay and other assorted craft supplies. They will learn basic hand embroidery stitches, fun paper crafting techniques and also make some eco-friendly projects. The projects are based on age. This camp is intended for kids ages 6 – 11.
This is a fun filled week focused on developing arts and crafts skills. Campers will make fun craft projects using a variety of medias and will learn different fibre arts techniques. All projects are focused on sustainability and the environment. The projects are based on age. This camp is intended for ages 11 – 17.
What will be provided . . .
All the materials needed for the camp activities are included in your registration. You will receive a list of the additional tools and equipment needed. Camp worksheets, printable materials and website links will be provided via email.
How you can prepare for camp
A working sewing machine, sewing machine manual and other crafting tools. Create a space where patterns can be laid out and materials can be prepared for projects. Parents or an adult must be present for sewing with younger campers.
We will like to ensure that each child has a positive experience and ask that prior to registering parents inform us of any concerns they may have regarding their child’s participation in camp activities. Some activities may require adult supervision.
