This visible mending class is part of our mending series. Learn several visible mending techniques to repair, reinforce and add beauty to your favourite well worn woven garments. Gain the tools you need to effectively extend the life of your wardrobe.
With durable needlework techniques we can fix holes and tears. Let us preserve and treasure our garments for as long as possible.
Fabric swatches, threads and needles are provided for students to use while practicing the techniques. Additional mending tools, materials or specific thread colours can be purchased at Crafted Spaces.
You can bring in a woven garment you will like to repair. Participants are also welcome to bring in photographs to ask the instructor about specific mending issues.
You will learn simple hand stitch visible mending techniques that require no previous experience. This is a small group class. Class size is kept small to provide one-on-one attention.
