Description
Our Beginner Sewing – Private Sessions is the perfect place to start if you are learning to sew for the first time or if you are looking to refresh your sewing skills.
You can select in-person or online private classes. We have a flexible schedule. You can schedule one, two or three hour sessions for a total of (12) twelve hours of instruction. These are private one-on-one sessions hosted at one of our studio locations or available live online.
Available for children 6+ to adults of all ages and skill level.

- Learn how to take body measurements
- Select sewing patterns
- Make basic pattern adjustments
- Follow a commercial sewing pattern
- Choose the right fabric for projects
- Sew a beginner sewing project
- Learn various sewing techniques
You will develop the skills and confidence needed to explore new sewing projects. There are no prior sewing experience required for this class. However, you can take our Sewing Basics 101 as an introductory class.
Beginner Sewing Class Kit

- The kit includes a commercial sewing pattern, fabric and notions
Pick up or Canada Post shipping is available for the kit and will be scheduled prior to the start date. Please note that shipping and handling cost are billed separately, based on Canada Post rates.
Online students are required to have a sewing machine and the tools needed to participate in this class. If you are thinking of buying a sewing machine, read our Tips on Buying a Sewing Machine or contact us for further assistance. You can also find some tools and notions on our online shop.
