Crafted Spaces Sewing and Creative Design Registration Details

Crafted Spaces delivers workshops (a one-time learning session), classes (a series of learning sessions) and programmes (including kid’s camps and other learning series). Your registration in a class, workshop or programme is not confirmed until you have completed the registration process and submitted payment in full. Attendance is by pre-registration only. We do not accept walk-in registrations. If you want to register for a class that has already begun or register for a class less than five (5) business days in advance of the first session, please contact us at create@craftedspaces.com or call 705-828-7096 to make arrangements.

Payments and Deposits

All payments are payable to Crafted Spaces. Acceptable methods of payment are cash, cheque, money order, INTERAC Flash, e-money transfer, credit card or PayPal. Payments can be made at our studio with any of the acceptable methods of payment listed above. All payments must be received by Crafted Spaces at least five (5) business days in advance of the first session. Please contact us in advance to arrange payment in person. Payments by cheque or money order are accepted by mail. Please do not mail cash. Please send e-money transfer payments to create@craftedspaces.com. Payments can be made online using a PayPal account or with a Credit Card via PayPal. Payments can also be made at the studio with Square using INTERAC Flash, contactless credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and chip credit cards and are subject to Square terms and conditions (https://squareup.com/ca).

A minimum deposit of 30% of the cost of your registration is required to reserve your seat. Deposits are non-refundable for classes, workshops or programmes where a guest instructor has been booked in advance or if supplies for the class, workshop or programme have been purchased or prepared in advance of the start date. The balance of your payment is due before your start date, unless other payment arrangements have been made.

If arrangements have been made with Crafted Spaces to pay at the start of your session, we will only accept cash, INTERAC Flash, contactless credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and chip credit cards via Square. If a class, workshop or programme is cancelled by Crafted Spaces, payments can be credited toward the purchase of products or registrations, payments can be refunded on a prorated basis if future sessions are outstanding, or payments can be refunded in full.

Missing a Class Session

If you are unable to attend a class session, we may be able to accommodate you on another day within the week or at a future date. Please inform us 24 hours in advance of any cancellations; if you are unable to do so, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to re-schedule within a week. You will be contacted via telephone or email to schedule a make-up class.

Crafted Spaces classes are designed with accumulative learning in mind, so make-up sessions are highly recommended. With most group classes, a make-up class will be required so you can keep pace with the rest of the group.

We ask that you do not change classes more than three times in a six or eight-week session and no more than twice in a four or five-week session. Due to limited seating, Crafted Spaces may not be able to accommodate your requests for session changes. Missed classes will not be refunded or transferred to a future session.

Holidays and Weather

Classes, workshops and programmes at Crafted Spaces run as scheduled; however, we do not hold sessions during select holidays. Sessions may also be re-scheduled due to severe weather conditions. If there are any changes to your class, workshop or programme schedule, you will be contacted by telephone or email. A make-up date can be arranged.

Walk-in and Late Registrations

Walk-in registrations will not be accepted. If you are interested in registering for a class, workshop or programme that has already started or if you were unable to register prior to the start date, please email us at create@craftedspaces.com or call 705-828-7096 to register before the second session. We will try our best to make arrangements for you to make-up the first missed session.

Cancellations (before class begins)

If you are unable to attend the class, workshop or programme in which you are enrolled, you must let us know at least five (5) business days in advance of the scheduled start date. At that point, you can either have your deposit returned to you (less a $25 administration fee), or we can credit the full deposit amount towards products, future class, workshops or programmes. If you register for a class, workshop or programme less than five (5) business days in advance of the scheduled start date, or if you stop attending within one week of the start date, no portion of your deposit will be returned to you. For some classes, workshops and programmes, 30% of the price of registration is non-refundable and in addition to our administration fee. Some classes, workshops and programmes have specific cancellation deadlines; please contact us for more information.

Refunds (after class has begun)

There will be no refunds if you are not able to continue your class, workshop or programme at Crafted Spaces. However, depending on class size, we may be able to accommodate you in a subsequent session. If Crafted Spaces cancels a class, workshop, programme or session for any reason, you will receive notice either in writing, by telephone or by email. In this case; payments can be credited toward the purchase of products or registrations, payments can be refunded on a prorated basis if future sessions are outstanding, or payments can be refunded in full.

Make-up and Repeat Classes

If you want to repeat a lesson that you have already taken or if you missed a session and will like to make-up the lesson, you can join us in a future session. Repeat lessons are subject to a $25 fee. Email us at create@craftedspaces.com to make arrangements. Space is subject to availability.

Copyright and Intellectual Property

Crafted Spaces curriculum content and its supporting materials, kits and other intellectual property (“Intellectual Property”) has been developed by Yvette-Michelle Cottle Darby for the exclusive use of Crafted Spaces classes, workshops and programmes.

All materials, trademarks or other intellectual property appearing on this website, contained within learning materials and all curriculum content of Crafted Spaces classes, workshops and programmes are the property of Crafted Spaces and Yvette-Michelle Cottle Darby. As such, they are subject to and protected by applicable copyright laws. All Crafted Spaces Intellectual Property is for personal use only and may not be copied, displayed, distributed, downloaded, licensed, modified, published, reposted, reproduced, reused, sold, transmitted, used to create a derivative work or otherwise exploited for any commercial purposes, in whole or in part, without the express written permission of Crafted Spaces and Yvette-Michelle Cottle Darby.

Nothing on this website or within any Crafted Spaces classes, workshops or programmes shall be construed as granting any license or right to use any Intellectual Property rights, whether by estoppel, implication, or otherwise. You are also advised that Crafted Spaces and Yvette-Michelle Cottle Darby will aggressively enforce said property rights to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
